Involvement

The purpose of the International Awareness and Involvement Committee (IA&I) is to make the local community aware of the plight of persons living across the diaspora of South Africa, Haiti and Kenya. The primary areas of focus for this programmatic thrust are the Grand Chapter initiatives of the IA&I Sustainability Plan and World AIDS Day.

World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day - held on 1 December each year, World Aids Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. Bowling Green Alumnae Chapter in collaboration with local health departments, such as Barren River Health Department, hosts AIDS testing clinics and informational sessions to educate and raise the awareness for support of the eradication of this deadly disease.
